Ingredients
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 can tomato soup
- Half of a 14.5 ounce can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 3 slices bacon, uncooked
- 8 cabbage leaves, blanched
- 1 cup cooked rice
- Shredded cheddar cheese
Directions

Step 1:
Brown beef and pork, drain off any excess fat.

Step 2:
Stir in onion soup, sauce, water, spices.

Simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 4:
Place shredded cabbage in the bottom of a 6 x 9 inch baking dish, spoon meat mixture on top of cabbage, lay bacon strips on top.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes or until bacon is done.

Step 6:
To serve, place blanched cabbage leaves on serving platter, then place a couple tablespoons of cooked rice and top each with meat sauce mixture.

Top with shredded cheese.
