Pecan Turkey Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 1 box wild rice with season packet (6-ounce)
  • 1 can Chicken broth (14-ounce)
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups chopped cooked turkey (or chicken if desired)

Directions

  • Step 1:

    Cook rice according to package directions substituting broth for water

  • Step 2:

    In a large pan, sauté celery, onions and pecans in olive oil until celery is crisp tender.

  • Step 3:

    Stir in rice and turkey until well combined.

  • Step 4:

    Serve immediately
