Ingredients
- 2 large Vidalia onions, cut into 1/8 inch slices
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons hot sauce
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha hot chili sauce (found in the Asian section of the grocery store)
Directions

Step 1:
Combine spicy ketchup ingredients and refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 2:
Combine onion rings, buttermilk, garlic and hot sauce in a large bowl and marinate for 1 hour. Remove onions from buttermilk mixture.

Step 3:
Combine flour, garlic, and oregano, then coat rings with flour mixture.

Step 4:
Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Serve with spicy ketchup.
